The NF2 Crew is one of the largest NF2 support groups in existence, with hundreds of members spanning the globe. We connect through a variety of Internet-based communication mediums, but mainly Facebook or email via Yahoo.

Since NF2 is the lesser known form of Neurofibromatosis, The NF2 Crew was established to address this issue. By sharing personal experiences and/or offering information on preferred doctors, surgeons, hospitals and treatments; members will find that the information within The Crew is notably more up to date than what a general practitioner may provide. In 1994 two very good friends residing in the US, Jordan Harlow and Jennette Braaten, began to toss around the dream of an online support group for individuals with NF2. Simultaneousy, two others, Steve Silverman and Marianne Schneider were independently composing networks. Surely there had to be more people with NF2 out there?! Are you a person with NF2? Find it a challenge to find others like yourself in your area? Or, perhaps you know of someone with NF2 and would like to learn more. Come join The NF2 Crew! There are 2 ways to join, either through Facebook or Yahoo.

For Facebook,

1. Login to Facebook.com (requires a Facebook account)
2. Go to: https://www.facebook.com/groups/295400233813076/
3. Click the ‘Join Group’ button
4. An admin will verify your request. The admin will send you a personal message to verify; PLEASE reply to the message. You may need to check the ‘Message Requests’ folder of the Facebook Inbox.
5. Once verified, an admin will post a Welcome message. Post a reply to introduce yourself!

If for any reason, you wish to leave the Facebook Group, simply click the ‘Leave Group’ button on the Group page.

For Yahoo,

** Note, a Yahoo account is NOT required to join.

1. If you have a Yahoo account;

   1. Sign into Yahoo.com
   2. Go to: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NF2_Crew/info
   3. Click the ‘Join Group’ button
   4. An admin will verify your request
   5. Once approved, go back to the above link, and click ‘Conversations’ where you will be able to view message threads. Additionally, messages should arrive to the email address you signed up with.

2. If you don’t have a Yahoo account;

   1. Send an email to: nf2-crew-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
      (**note, this will only allow you to send and receive email to group members, but you must have a Yahoo account to view attachments, such as photos and files.)
   2. An admin will verify your request.
   3. Once approved, email messages should arrive to the email address you sent the message from. Simply reply to the email to send a message to Crew members.

If for any reason, you wish to leave the Yahoo Group, send an email to: nf2_crew-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
